Dr David Greenfield FCIWM CEnv
David has been working within the waste and resources industry in local government for over 18 years, where he has procured and managed a waste PFI, founded the web platform Waste Improvement Network (WIN), supported local authority partnerships, developed and implemented innovative procurement solutions. He has spent the last 10 years advising local and central government. David is a Chartered Waste Manager, a Fellow of the CIWM and a Chartered Environmentalist. He is currently working as an associate to a number of companies and supporting start-up companies to implement circular economy solutions.
David has a wide range of professional responbilities as board or advisor:

Chair of the Board of the Anaerobic Digestion & Bioresources Association (ADBA)
Advisor and immediate past chair of the National Waste Network Chairs (WNC), a partnership between 10 Local authority networks
Chair of the Institute of Civil Engineers Waste Panel
Member of the ICE Waste & Resources Management Journal editorial panel
Panel Member for the development of BS 8895-3
Past board member of the Pathway to a Zero Waste Board.
David is a visiting lecturer at the University of Brighton where he also wrote his doctorate entitled "A Local Authority Waste Management Mass Balance Model". He has authored and presented papers at ISWA, EU and CIWM conferences, and spoken at the 2005 Indian Government - European Union Waste Partnership inaugural meeting in Delhi.
